Now do I, Lady Jane Monay, Duchess of Evendarr, Countess of Mansfield, Lady of Evendarr, Head of the House of Monay, Member of the Order of the White Lion, & c., Declare before All that the Bearer of this Writ, Lady Niomi Avendale, Lady of the Duchy of Evendarr & Most Esteemed Kinswoman, Travels & Abides upon Her Journey under My Sponsorship, Unto the Borders of the Kingdom of Evendarr,  & Thence Beyond into the Wilderness Lands of the Far North. 

 

Let it be Known Unto All that Lady Niomi Avendale & her Company shall Enjoy My Support unto the Limits of the Laws of Hospitality & Kinship, to be Given such Aid & Assistance as shall be Necessary for their Safety & Health, for as Long as They are Traveling Within the Kingdom.  Let no one Hinder, Delay or Obstruct their Passage, or Deny Food, Shelter or Healing to Themselves or their Beasts or Baggage, or to cause any Harm to Come Unto them.

 

Lady Niomi Avendale shall be Known Unto All as the Leader & Commander of the Avendale Expedition, Whose Solemn Purpose is to Journey into those Perilous Lands to the North of the Shimmerglen Forest of Elysia, Eastward of the River Hadran & to Explore the Lands & Aspects that Lie Therein, in Order to Seek out the Knowledge of the True Fate of Her Honored Ancestor, Lady Katherine Galenson, & to Gather Such Intelligence as She & Her Brave Company may Discover, & to Remain for so Long as She Judges to be Meet & Proper.

 

Be it Known to All that Our Fondest Wishes for Her Success go with her & that She Shall be Held with the Greatest Affection within Our Minds & Hearts Forever, Until the Day when we may Meet Again.
